It has been fun meeting with the planning committee and working together to plan what we hope will be a fun and memorable weekend together this summer. We graduated with a great group of people and I have enjoyed reconnecting with them. I hope to see many more classmates at the reunion.
Probably like many fellow Warriors, I have followed a varied path since high school. I was a stay-at-home Mom for our two boys, went to college twice and finally graduated with a music degree, taught high school choir at Vallivue in Caldwell, and NNU in Nampa. I left teaching after eight years and became office manager for my mother's health business twelve years ago, where I still work.
Now I am a nutrition consultant, helping people with personal plans for better health. I also love to research and speak on health, and have spoken in Ohio, Texas, and various times in Idaho. Working in this field has given me many personal health benefits for which I am thankful.
My husband and I are pastors of a small independent church in Meridian called Living Grace Community Fellowship where we work together teaching, leading marriage seminars, counseling, and just trying to love on people.
In my spare time--whatever that is??--I have been rewriting and editing a book with my friend from Ohio on how she became Amish. I love to swim a couple of times a week to keep in shape, besides walking my dog. I also enjoy reading, singing, and knitting. My poor family has to wear all the socks, slippers, sweaters, scarves and mittens I foist upon them each holiday.
I keep active with Boise Master Chorale and other various singing groups and I am currently preparing to speak at a couple of women's retreats in Oregon and California.
Our two sons and their families give us great joy. We have two grandchildren who live in Nampa with our oldest son and his wife. Our other son just left MHS where he taught and coached cross country for three years. He and his wife are pursuing graduate courses at Penn. State.
