Hope to see you all at the reunion! Hard to believe it's been 40 years. Thanks to the folks that did all the hard work to put this together.

I've spent the last year working out of the ranch where I live turning the neighbors land back into grazing land again after not having stock on it for 40 yrs. Three miles of old fences taken down, hauled out and new ones built. Water issues had to be dealt with. At the same time we provided access to the public for hiking and mountain biking. It's all up and going now. Nice to see at least something going back in time instead of forward, and the land not being covered with houses.
Although it doesn't seem like it most of the time, unless I look back through all the years since we graduated, it has been a long road to get this far as we close in on breathing air on the planet for 60 years.
My life has been spent using mostly my brawn, (as my father told me would happen when I quit college,) and after all these years of beating the mountain to death with my body, I'm certainly starting to feel it. And yet for now I'm still trying to do the things I have always enjoyed, but maybe just a little slower or more carefully. But I can plainly see that several of these outdoor passions are going to come to an end in the next few years whether I want them to or not.
It's hard to believe after having active lives all these years, that we have traveled so far now that we have to take into consideration just sitting in the shade and watching the trees grow, but that time is not far off. And for some, it's already gone.
