I am still living in France in an old 1786 stone house that we have renovated ourselves. It is a quiet area, with room to roam with dogs and horses in surrounding forests, picking wild mushrooms, which are a speciality of the area, and enjoying the beautiful scenery. I enjoy gardening, long hikes and visiting all of the sites of interest in France and Europe, as the train system is superb throughout Europe. We occasionally visit further afield (our daughter is finishing her PhD in Marine Biology in Japan), but prefer to stay quietly in France, having done our travelling while working overseas.
